Desk Assembly: what's included
The desk frame, legs and supplied surface are assembled along with the storage actually selected. Cabinet housings and drawer boxes are distinct parts of that configuration: the booked frames are built, then the full selected drawer count fitted across the desk. A drawer beneath the top still belongs to that total.
A connected return is joined for an L-shaped model. If electric operation is selected, supplied motor components, controls and cables are fitted and checked according to the instructions. Final work checks the assembled connections and alignment and tidies the area, without adding a separate filing cabinet to the desk scope.

Account for the storage beneath the worktop
A desk with storage has more parts than a top and legs. Cabinet frames and drawer boxes use separate selections because they require different assembly steps. Look at the product drawing and count every cabinet supplied as part of the desk, then total the drawers across both those cabinets and any other desk position.
For an Oakland workspace, one cabinet frame adds $20 to the selected desk configuration; two add $30. Six drawers across those two cabinets add another $30, for $60 in storage assembly. Empty shelf spaces are not drawers, and two handles on one drawer front do not turn it into two drawer boxes.
Leave the cabinet positions and the area in front of the desk clear so drawers can be fitted and checked. Keep the fittings for each housing identifiable, particularly if the two sides differ. Assembly covers the chosen desk components; a separate filing cabinet is another furniture item and should be reviewed separately rather than folded into the desk’s built-in storage count.

How much do two cabinets with three drawers each add?
The two cabinet frames add $30 and the six drawer boxes add another $30. That is $60 in storage features above your selected desk type and shape. Enter six total drawers for the desk, not three per cabinet, in the drawer selection.
Should an open cubby beneath the worktop be entered as a drawer?
A shelf opening does not count as a drawer box. Use the product parts list to distinguish the cabinet housing, shelves and actual fitted drawers. Select cabinet frames where supplied with the desk, and count only the drawer components in the separate $5-per-drawer quantity.
Can a freestanding filing cabinet be counted as a desk cabinet frame?
The cabinet option describes housings supplied as part of the desk configuration. A separate filing cabinet is an independent furniture item, even if positioned under the worktop.
