Bookcase Assembly: what's included
A reading-space bookcase receives assembly of the selected vertical frames and fitting of its supplied shelves. Any booked glass or standard doors are installed on those frames, and selected drawer components are built and fitted into the storage layout. The work covers the furniture that will hold the collection, rather than arranging or loading the books themselves.
Where suitable for the wall, the manufacturer’s supplied anti-tip hardware is included in the installation work. That condition remains part of the scope alongside the frame and shelf construction. The area used for handling and assembling the furniture is tidied afterward.
- Assemble the booked frames that form the structure of the reading-space storage combination.
- Fit supplied shelves according to the furniture design, including its fixed and adjustable components.
- Install selected glass or standard fronts as part of the complete bookcase configuration.
- Build and fit the booked drawer components within their intended sections of the furniture.

Books and display items should remain outside the work area while a bookcase is being assembled. Choose the final position with shelf access and any doors or drawers in mind. Measure the finished furniture against the room, then check the manufacturer’s loading guidance for how you intend to use it after the work is complete.
For your Palo Alto visit, select each full-height column and all supplied fronts that need fitting. Glass doors, standard doors and drawers use separate counts. Have their hardware with the frames, including any anti-tip kit specified by the manufacturer. Fitting that supplied kit is included when it is suitable for the wall.
Do not treat a built frame as ready to load while required installation steps remain unresolved. Keep the manual and product details after the appointment for care instructions and support. The assembly service checks the supplied furniture; it does not increase shelf load ratings or turn a freestanding bookcase into a structure designed for a different use.

Keep books and display items off until the furniture and any required anchoring are complete, then arrange them within the product’s stated use guidance.
Can I use the bookcase before a required restraint has been fitted?
Do not treat the installation as complete while a required step in the manufacturer’s instructions is unresolved. Keep the furniture empty and address any missing or unsuitable restraint components. Included anti-tip fitting depends on appropriate supplied hardware and a suitable wall, rather than the frame simply standing upright.
Is a glass display section selected differently from the open columns beside it?
Count the full-height frames across the whole combination, then add the glass doors separately at $10 each. Open shelves do not need a door selection. If other sections include standard doors or drawers, enter those quantities as well so the complete storage combination is represented.
Which documents are useful after the bookcase is finished?
Keep the exact model information, assembly manual and manufacturer’s care or loading guidance. They can help identify a shelf support, hinge or drawer component if you need support later.
